Hello World! Unwrapping My Super Powers

This is an exciting day and time for me.  Many new beginnings.

I have for soooooooo long wanted to create a blog, yet I haven’t had the technical know-how and practicalities to do so. I’m delighted to have finally found a Virtual Assistant who has set it up for me.

Drum Roll! Tah Dah! This is it!

The commencement of a whole new path and sharing many new adventures and stories.

And the timing is perfect in that we start a new journey tomorrow going on our first ever Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Retreat to Kerala, India.

People often ask about, and are interested in what my partner Shelton and I are doing, and where we are travelling. By writing my blog, I can take you on a virtual journey with us and we can stay ‘in touch’.

Yet right now I do have to be mindful that I can’t indulge and spend too long writing as I have to get on with packing and organizing as we leave here 4.30am tomorrow morning and it’s now 12.30pm and there’s still lots to do.  I am very tempted though as this is very exciting 😊

So before going any further please look closely at the photo above. A most significant picture. It was taken in Melbourne the beginning of this month.

And YES! I have had a Make-Over!

For my stylish and gorgeous new clothes we went to one of the MOTTO fashion shops which is the fantastic business of one of our Workshop graduate couples in Melbourne – the very feminine and creative ♡Faye Browne and her darling husband ♡John who design and manufacture a range of unique and very beautiful clothes. Check them out at www.motto.com.au

And YES that is me wearing lip-stick. A. most. Auspicious. Occasion. Most definitely. I can count on one hand the number of times I have worn lipstick in the last 40 years. And you are reading that correctly. The last 40 years.

Now looking again at the photo, notice the lululemon bag that just serendipitously happened to be on the chair. And No it wasn’t staged. On it is written:

Unwrap Your Super Powers!

It is symbolic to have this photo as the first one that I post. Look out world here she comes! ♡Susie’s Super Powers are in process of being set free.

A ‘Made-Over’ Susie with Super Powers.

Oh what adventures lay before us. And uncovering what my Super Powers are seems like a veritable quest in itself.

And then again, it might be because of all the ‘super-foods’ that I have been eating lately…. But that is another topic for the future. And it also might be the kid in me who feels very playful and excited right now 😊

So I hope you are getting that this is not just going to be a formal and ‘stuffy’ blog about relationship topics and articles.

This will be me relating to you from my ♡heart and soul and mind to wherever it resonates inside you. Writing about topics that are current and important to me as well as stirring something in me.

Some of you reading will know that foremost in my values and life are all things to do with conscious relationships, ♡LOVE, connection and communication.

♡Shelton and I are both Workshop Presenters and Therapists specializing in Imago Relationship Therapy. Relationship Education is our mission and calling. Teaching how to create and build happy and successful relationships; how to create the elusive Happy. Ever. After. Everywhere I look it doesn’t take long before this perspective and these themes come in.

I am thrilled to invite you on this Susies♥HeartpathBlog journey…..on both the blog as well as on our travels which are frequent.  ♡Shelton and I love journeying to new places in the world as well as to new places inside ourselves and in our relationship. Going to Kerala gives us the opportunity to do all three.

Last year we met ♡Julie Baker from Journeys Of The Spirit at the Conscious Living Expo in Perth, Western Australia when we were ‘neighbours’ exhibiting for the weekend. In the quiet times when the public were scarce we chatted. Or rather we listened as she spoke intriguing us by her adventures and stories of her healing, as well as that of others, on the various Retreats that she organizes in many places in the world.

One thing led to another and before we knew it we were collaborating and ♡Julie has organized for us our very first overseas Ayurvedic Rejuvenation Retreat in Kerala.

It feels like we just jumped into the unknown, having never done anything like this before as well as not knowing anything much about Ayurvedic healing. But at the same time we have the gift of, and trust in our very knowledgeable guide. We are grateful and feeling blessed. Grateful for ♡Julie as well as the courageous and daring group of participants who have also jumped with us, trusting us as their facilitators and guides.

We have recently been changing to a mainly raw organic food diet and it intrigues me how huge a transition this has been and how many new things there are to learn and how many changes there are to put in place. It has been challenging and has needed us to be very committed.

What I have learned that makes the biggest difference and leads to the most success in the change process is being able to fully immerse myself for an extended period in whatever new thing I am learning or taking on. Like the best way to learn a new language is to immerse oneself fully in the environment where only that language is spoken.

And this is how we see the Kerala Retreat – immersing ourselves in a healing and learning environment without all our usual daily routines, habits and distractions.  On top of this we are totally looked after and cared for and pampered. Perfect.

The older and more wise we grow, the more aware we become of how important it is to give attention to all aspects of our being: our Mind, Body and Spirit. With our fast-paced and intense lifestyles, taking regular time to slow down and de-stress is crucial for our health and wellness as well as to be the best partners we can be, whether it is in our primary ♡LOVE relationships, our parenting, our workplace or our network of family and friends.

So off we are going to Relax. Revive. Restore. Rejuvenate. Replenish. Repair and Reinvigorate our lives and ♡LOVE-ing.

It’s now just after midnight and I need to get at least a couple of hours sleep. I’ll see if I can check in when we reach Singapore Changi Airport. This is one of our most frequented airports in the world, as well as being a favourite for us as ♡Shelton and I regularly stop-over on our flights between Perth and Seattle.

Maybe on second thoughts, we’ll most likely be enjoying the highlights that we love to see and do there so I’ll ‘see’ you at the Resort in Kerala.

Signing off with a reminder to keep to the forefront in your mind how loved and lovable you are.

Much ♡LOVE and gratitude and excitement, Susie♡
