♥ DAILY LOVE TIP – Monday October 10, 2011
Hello Lovely ♥Ones,
Oh my gosh a whole week has gone by since my last post!! I did ‘sneak’ a few moments a couple of times and wrote but I was just much too tired to stay up after full days to finish them off to post….but I will go back and retrieve the drafts and finish them and post them over the next week…it has been such a full time with the lead up to the wedding on Thursday 6th as well as the ‘aftermath’…..
This afternoon we’ve put Zoe and Gaurav and his brother Mohit on the plane back to Melbourne together with Gaurav’s parents, Mr and Mrs Sood who are visiting with them for the month …..so that our home that has been very full and festive for the last week can now start to return to some form of ‘normality’ and routine…….
But hey, I imagine you are wondering how it all went – here’s the gorgeous couple – yet choosing from so many beautiful pictures is a challenge…….and these aren’t even the ‘professional’ photos as they aren’t ready yet………….
How gifted we all were with the big white dog rose as a stunning natural back-drop to the whole proceedings……Warm Fuzzy Hill was resplendent in her beauty……Mother Nature has been so generous in the display she has put on this whole past week ….….I don’t think I remember such an amazingly beautiful and abundant Springtime…. and as well we have truly given the gardens a grand ‘make-over’……..
The ceremony included many ♥LOVE-ing rituals from different traditions…..for her Bridal March Zoe chose to walk with me to meet her groom to the sounds of the didgeridoo played by her father, Russ Davey who is now deceased…..and this was followed by the Indian Garland Ceremony which is a traditional Indian ceremony where the bride and groom lay garlands around each other’s necks to symbolize that they freely choose each other…….There was a Circle of Life Ceremony where each of the parents welcomed Zoe and Gaurav into their new families………..
I have just gone back and read the post on Thursday – 3rd March 2011 – What a day! Another one…. and the Promise Ceremony where I share about Zoe and Gaurav’s ‘engagement’/Indian Promise Ceremony and I mention how I was struck by the importance of family in that ceremony and it felt special to have that included again……
I also mention in that post the importance and beauty and sacredness of ritual and ceremony and how the feeling was that the rituals and ceremony strengthened their commitment and there was even a feeling that it deepened their love for each other…… This was also my experience of this marriage day….we witnessed them sharing in a number of ceremonies with each other and there were also some that included all the guests like The Warming of the Rings where their rings were passed and everyone was invited to bless them….there was a strong feeling of their marriage ‘being held’ by the community both by those who were present as well as those not able to be there physically……
Questions for you: what rituals do you have that strengthens your ♥LOVE and commitment? Are there any that you would like to bring into your relationship?
Zoe and Gaurav’s wedding/marriage has stimulated quite a few topics in me which I will talk about in upcoming posts…..
Questions for you:
For those of you who are married or in a committed relationship I invite you to take out your wedding album or albums of your early courtship days and choose a photo that has a special memory attached to it for you and share about it.
For those of you who are preparing for a wedding share about a significant ritual/ceremony that you would like included and it’s meaning for you.
For those of you not in partnerships I invite you to share with a couple something about their marriage/wedding/committed relationship that you value and that touches you.
Share these using the ♥MIRRORING process.
Todays’ Addition to my list of My ♥favourite things…..is the ♥LOVE and commitment that is so real between ♥Zoe and ♥Gaurav – flowing so strongly and tenderly!
Gratefully and with a full and joyous heart, LOVE SUSIE♥

Love is what we are born with. Fear is what we learn. The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and prejudices and the acceptance of love back in our hearts. Love is the essential reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life. Meaning does not lie in things. Meaning lies in us. ~ Marianne Williamson
