I make myself take one step at a time rather than let myself go into panic mode with the whole big picture otherwise I would never do anything. My operating mode is to dissect everything look at what can go right and what can go wrong and make a very calculated decision on the outcome. My dream is to be more adventurous and just DO.

Seems to me you have definitely been achieving “Decide you want it more than you are afraid of it.” When I think of all that you are putting into selling your house as well as your trip through New Zealand seems to me you are living your dream of being “more adventurous and just DO”-ing…….
