Remember yesterday I said, I don’t know how it could get better than this!
Well today it did…! 🙂
O M G…! O M G…! Truly unbelievable!
For our massage treatments today most of our Group started with the General Massage where we were covered in warm to hot oil and massaged from head to foot.
This was followed by being invited to lie in the wooden box that is the massage table and which usually holds the vinyl mattress we lie on. The mattress had been taken out and we just lay on the wooden base that was at a slight incline with the head end higher than the feet.
And part of the beauty of it all is, we don’t know what is going to happen.
Another massage therapist then came into the room to join with my regular lady and they heat water which they poured into 2 very elegant copper urns with long spouts. Then starting from my shoulders they swept down my body to my feet, gently pouring the warm herbal water as they go.
Instantly my eyes filled with tears it felt soooooo nurturing and nourishing.
I felt so deeply cared for and looked after and caressed. They continued for about 45 minutes, the 2 of them in unison, flowing the water all over every part of my body. The moves so rhythmic and in harmony.
Because of the incline the water is collected and then reheated gently and used over and over. They have it so co-ordinated that the flow doesn’t feel like it stops.
I felt like maybe I had turned into Cleopatra….. or a Queen….. or Goddess…. or maybe I had landed in a pre-Raphaelite bathing hall.
Another suggestion for your bucket list!
This treatment is called Dhanyamla Dharaa and we all loved it. Unbelievably, we are told there are even more different pleasures to come!!! And by the way, the massage we had yesterday was simply called Rejuvenation Massage.
Another part of our package here at the Retreat is when we arrived we each had an individual Consultation with an Ayurvedic Doctor who we check in with each day, and they have created a personalised Rejuvenation and Healing Program for each of us.
Questions for you – what are you doing today to nourish yourself or someone you love and care about?
What have you been meaning to get around to doing to nourish. pleasure. pamper. indulge. treat yourself as precious – or do what is good for you – that you keep putting off?
Today is a good day to set a nourishing intention.
What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible,
is rarely a function of our true capability.
It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are. Anthony Robbins
“We do not have to strive for wholeness- wholeness exists within us. Sometimes it can be clouded by false beliefs about life or ourselves- but it is always there. If that happens, we need to take the time to uncover and change our inaccurate perceptions and beliefs. When we do we can transform our whole life……” from “I Create What I Believe! A Simple and Effective Way to Transform Your Life” by Nancy Marie
Take gentle care of yourself and those you love, nourishingly Susie.
